CLASS INFO:

The Elements of Art + Camera Basics will be taught to all age groups.  We will delve into the study of our organic and non-organic environment and practice developing a keen eye for details around us.

A syllabus with a class topics will be given to all registered students/parents on the first week of class. 

CLASS SIZE:

Student /teacher ration :  8:1.  We believe the best class dynamic is organized, small group, hands-on and fun.

TEACHING/LEARNING STYLE:

Every class will be a combination of learning through discussion, games, collaborative work, hands on participation and photography notebook work. All classes are developed with the whole student  in mind and specifically organized so that all types of learners (auditory, visual and/or kinesthetic) will benefit from instruction. Our time will be fun, encouraging and positive. Every student will gain skills and walk away with a greater appreciation for noticing the details in our lives and surroundings.

Intro to Photography (10-13 year olds) : Photography camera skills for this group will start off using automatic settings with a transition intro some manual camera knowledge towards the end of the class set.Photography camera skills for this group will be taught with a focus on specific Photography concepts: Composition, Aperture, Depth of Field, Light combined with Art Elements. 

Photography 1 and II ( 14-17 year olds): Photography camera skills for this age group will be taught with a greater focus on specific Photography concepts: Composition, Aperture, Depth of Field, Light combined with Art Elements. Classes for this age group will begin with manual setting instruction on second day of class. Photography I and II will include: projects, and portfolio development. 

Photography II (15-17 years)) Students will receive further instruction and practice on aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, composition, lenses  through projects and an independent themed assignment project. Students will work  in  Lightroom/Adobe Photoshop programs to develop their editing techniques in class.  A course syllabus will be emailed on the first week of class. This class also includes in outdoor camera use to  build a portfolio of work.

*Laptop and Adobe Creative Cloud (student version) required for class. 4 min students to open class, 8 max per class.

COURSE EQUIPMENT: Each learner will be provided a DSLR camera to use for outdoor use and a work booklet as part of the class cost. Students will need to purchase a SanDisk for class use.

CHARTER: Please email us to reserve your student’s spot before submitting PO. PO is due BEFORE fist day of class.

CLASS PREREQUISITES:

A positive attitude goes a long way . Knowledge of a camera is not necessary, all classes are taught to introduce, educate and encourage learners in the art of photography and camera basics.

CHARTERs:

We are approved vendors for  Sage Oaks, Sky Mountain and we are in the process of adding a few other charters.

Price breakdown for POs: 8 or 16 week classes pay per month.. If class is dropped or student withdraws from school student is still responsible for paying 8 week or 16 week total class fee.  

All POS are due BEFORE first day of class

 MAKEUPS & PRO-RATE& REFUNDS:

Makeup class sessions can not be issued.

Although we don't recommend a late start , we can offer a pro-rated fee if student starts class at a later time.
